Day 1:
You meet your guide and the driver in the hotel and head south from Marrakech to the Atlas foothills. You reach the village of Imlil at 1700m, where you will meet your team of muleteers and the cook . You will start your walk following a mule path along the steep Mizane valley to the shrine at 2300m. You continue a zigzag path higher to Imouzer waterfalls 2700m where you will stop for a picnic lunch by the stream. In the afternoon, you carry on your walk gently along the river and the stunning Ouaougant valley to your camp by Neltner refuge area at 3200m.Dinner and overnight in a refuge /camp.
Day 2:
You will have an early wake up for breakfast and start a walk across the steep section above the refuge to join the trail in the big valley. From there, you will start climbing gradually up to Toubkal pass at 13000 ft, offering some of the greatest views. You will carry on for the last part below the ridge to the peak of Toubkal at nearly 4167m, the highest in North Africa. You will stay for a little while enjoying the amazing views of the whole Atlas range and the further Saharan plateaus to the south. After enjoying this site and having a little snack you head downhill the same route to your campsite for a deserved hot meal. In the afternoon, you will walk the path downhill following the stream to the shrine and take a route through farmlands to Aremd village at 6500 ft. Dinner and overnight in a Berber gîte.
Day 3:
This morning, you will enjoy a late breakfast, and you will walk up to Tidili plateau above the village. From there you will walk through the massive boulders to Ouaoufghast hills at 2200m, a great point offering stunning views of the valley and the villages around. You will descend through pine trees to Assagou and join the village of Imluil. You will explore this vibrant centre before you sit for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will meet your driver to return to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
